In the cold depths of the ever still night
I think of you.
Your deep brown eyes,
and the blackness of space beyond mt puff of breath.

Somewhere in that dark eternity stands a woman.
But as the darkness soaks into my body,
and the cold bitterness of the northern woods surrounds me,
the wind sprints in its persistence to penetrate my lonely heart.

But it is your warmth and your beauty
that draws me from the black space to a whiter place
within your heart.

Somewhere there is warmth in this world.
It lies beyond the brown pasture of your gentle eyes,
and the delicate smile on your beautiful face.
