Cynical Observation
Seven down.
We are born with this originality
ever since Adam and Eve went to town
and built humanity.
Cursed! but there's nothing to do-
people aren't changing.
People cry out, "Say it ain't so!"
while we sit at home, and the outside is burning
wishing for a new Eden;
We are simply just watching,
shells of inactivity; the disaster lead-in.
Maybe we should do something but we won't
because we can't be the best we are.
Or possibly it's just a mental block "won't"
which (of course) doesn't get us very far
