CELEBRATING 35 YEARS IN 2010!
Mark your calendars for October 9, 10 and 11.
This year's theme is "Progression."
The Letchworth Arts & Crafts Show & Sale®, sponsored by the Arts Council for Wyoming County, presents the finest of artists, artisans and craftspeople from all over the country. The show takes place annually on Columbus Day weekend at the Highbanks Recreation Area of Letchworth State Park.
Enjoy peak fall foliage at the spectacular "Grand Canyon of the East" along with the best in pottery, paintings, quilts and fiber arts, handcrafted jewelry, photography, furniture, decorative painting, dried floral pieces and more -- just in time for holiday gift shopping. Over 350 artisans display their wares along with plenty of food vendors, live entertainment and fun activities for the whole family.
Included in our entertainment lineup this year are Ernie & Andy Lawrence and Friends. Ernie and Andy Lawrence, a father and son duo from Perry, have been performing in clubs, coffeehouses, concert halls and festivals around western New York for three years. They have opened shows for national acts in Buffalo and Rochester. Ernie and Andy play folk music with deep roots in blues, jazz, old country and spirituals. Their music features strong acoustic guitar play and vocals with big harmonies.
Ernie and Andy will be joined by “Sweet” Curtis Brown and Ross Bracco. “Sweet” Curtis is one of the finest and most distinctive harmonica players in New York State. Ross is a talented upright bass player who has performed around Rochester for several years. The collaboration of these four fellows promises to make for some exciting music. They will be performing on Saturday the 9th at 1 pm.
Admission and parking for the craft show are always free with entrance to the park. Handicapped parking is available along with curbside pickup of heavy purchases. Shuttle bus service is provided within the park and is also available from the parking lot of American Outfitters on Rte. 39 in Perry.
